Quentin’s Details
Summer-fresh casual perfection. Really nothing else to say except I love his watch, I wish I could afford that bag and I want his shoes.

Campus Style Showcase…and so we meet again.
I recognized Rikki of rgr-pop while walking through the library on campus today. I had a fan-girl moment and had to ask for some shots (I also had the nerve to ask what her blog address was as if I didn’t know…journalist on auto-pilot I guess).
Her style is just as unique and intriguing as her Tumblr; those are the quintessential vintage mary-janes and those pale pink knee-highs are the perfect summer accessory. The shape of the skirt is in perfect balance with her baggy band tee and the contrast between the prints of her bag and her skirt is rather interesting.
Altogether, she had a kind of quirky sophistication I don’t see very often which I find totally inspiring.

I didn’t get her name, but I’ll never forget her. I remember doing a double, possibly a triple take when I walked by her too. At first glance, I didn’t notice all the the meticulous details of this look, but it figures she’s one of the last campus style features because she was pretty much wearing all my favorite trends at the same time.
I think having dark neutrals for the main pieces and keeping the bright details minimized is what made this outfit work. From far away, it looked like plain charcoal skinnies with a brown cardigan; her backpack looked like a plain tan pattern; and her shoes were unremarkable…the only pops of color were the blue of her shirt and her little blue bag.
Up close it’s a different story; her pants turned out to be cheetah print, her shoes were metallic, there was a sheer embroidered layer over her shirt, her backpack was actually a tapestry print and the rest of her accessories were amazing—just all kinds of fantastic going on with one look.
She put together a collage of one stand out piece after another that could have been overwhelming had it not been for her brilliant sense of color. Overall, I think this ensemble was a the perfect marriage between boldness and balance.
